Australian technology start-up eHatsystems are
pleased to inform that

Bray Constructions concluded a successful trial of the eHat.

The device was deployed across number of sites for the purposes of inspection, trouble shooting, and stage reports.

Says Neville Bray, Managing Director: “We found the eHat very easy to
use.  In future, it will just be another tool on any site.  We see
use cases also in documentation of workmanship and compliance, particularly in
conjunction with the recording function of the eHatsystems platform.”

In an example that closely mirrors the eHat’s principle value
proposition, an apprentice was sent to conduct a roof inspection on one of
Bray’s sites.  He received remote guidance and advice from the office when
coming across an issue that required clarification. Issue solved satisfactorily
without delay.

eHatsystems Raises Seed Capital

Australian technology start-up eHatsystems are pleased to invite interested parties to participate in funding to raise seed capital. Funds will be used to produce an early release version of the eHat. Those units are required to fulfill an existing order from Fortescue Metals Group and to meet demand from other domestic and global customers that have experienced successful product demonstrations.

Says Terry Lancaster, Founder of eHatsystems: “We are excited about this pivotal next step. Our manufacturing and technology partners are ready to go.”

eHat shown at Schools Innovation day

eHat was the show piece at the recent Eastern Innovation Business Centre’s local schools demonstration day. In the photo, that was published in the local Leader Newspaper we see a Mulgrave Primary School student Daniel, 8, tries on an eHat with help from Wellington Secondary College Year 7 student Ancgajan. This is our first bit of publicity for quite a while and it shows that our next generations are happy to embrace new technology. In the next six months as we sign up a Chinese collaborator we will be starting a extensive media campaign.

Move to China

eHatsystems had decided to reach out to investors in China to get eHat developed and built to a commercial standard in that Country. Because of this strategy we were able to win a place in a pitching competition to go to China’s Jinan province and talk to potential investors in July. Our CEO, Ben Jacobs traveled to China in mid-July as our representative making several exciting contacts there and with strong follow up, we hope to derive substantial benefits from his efforts.

Since our decision to go to China for an investment partner, we have been looking for someone with experience in searching for Chinese companies who are prepared to join as collaborators to bring eHat to market.

We have now selected someone. His name is David Aizenstros and over a series of meeting with him, the team has come to a decision to hire his services to implement in our new strategy. Therefore, David has joined us as our new Business Development Manager. He comes to us with a wealth of knowledge in Marketing and Business Strategy. David admits he gets his kicks from helping Startup Companies get through the “Death Valley” stage.

Interest by European Customers

eHatsystems have just returned from a trip to Europe. Following invitations from enel, an Italian multinational manufacturer and distributor of energy and sixth largest utility worldwide, and from Outotec, a leading global provider of industrial process technologies and services, eHatsystems demonstrated both the eHat and the eHatsystems platform in live trials at their respective headquarters. Says Peter Hildebrandt, CEO of eHatsystems: “We are pleased to have met, and in part exceeded, the expectations of a wide cross-section of potential users at both enel and Outotec. The eHatsystems offering has impressed with both its functionality and industrial robustness”. With both companies field demonstrations and trials have been agreed.

Next Milestone Achieved

Another important milestone for eHatsystems was achieved this morning. Together with design and engineering partners Procept and Katapult Design the team signed off stakeholder and system requirements for the pre-production prototype – the Beta V. It will be available for field trials later this year.

The eHat leaves an impact at Minesafe International 2017

The eHatsystems team has just returned from a successful trip to Perth where we presented our product at Minesafe International 2017. The feedback from interested users has been very encouraging. Many appreciated the simple and intuitive use of the eHat’s streaming capabilities of both video and audio. Live demonstrations provided hands-on experiences of our complete offering – the eHat, the smartphone app and the supporting private network. It was a powerful manifestation of how we empower field workers – by accelerating knowledge transfer via guided work instructions, remote expertise and training-on-the-job.

A number of Expressions-of-Interest and pre-orders were taken for the next generation of prototype – the Beta V. This product will be available in quarter IV this year.
